Jay and the Mayor were being honored at the Clean Air Coalition Awards for their dedication to greening cars and the city. Yes, it was cool that we created arrangements out of auto parts, and yes it was very cool to meet the legend (What did he say about the centerpieces? "Very, um, creative, girls. Interesting- never seen that before!"), but it was even cooler to even the free Johnny Rockets fries since we got to stay for the show.

Hey, turns out there are perks to this gig after all;) Including everything I bartered last week, including: a haircut, many many designer clothes, and new front brakes.

Stay tuned for pics of the EIGHT FOOT by THREE FEET giant flower race-car flag we built, along with going to the junkyard and picking out EIGHTY car parts. And then to flower them up! Oh boy! :) I loved this job. Thanks Dharmata PR for bringing us on!

Marie Antoinette was the inspiration for CCCW. Lauren created these amazing cakes, which Kristine and I then replicated. We loved the creativity and detail. For the opening reception of the Pop-Up Shop, Lauren brought a giant chocolate raspberry cake that all of the guests happily devoured. It was a great success, and I look forward to many collaborations ahead!
